You should expect to wait 7 to 9 weeks from the mailing date to receive your ITIN; please note that this period may extend up to 11 weeks during high processing periods.

If you have not received any communication after 11 weeks, you can call the IRS toll-free at 800-829-1040 if you are in the United States, or at 267-941-1000 (not toll-free) if you are outside the United States.

In some cases, especially during periods of low demand, it is possible to receive it in less than 7 weeks, but this is not common.
